Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data evoZoa processes, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018.

Data we process

  • User account: name, email and profile picture received from the Evoteg platform when you sign in.
  • Forms: what you submit when suggesting a place or a correction and, if provided, your email.
  • Businesses and shelters: the details and photos you publish in your listing or adoption posts.
  • Technical data: IP address and browsing data logged by the server, and the cookies described in the cookie policy.
  • Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (page views, country, device type), measured without cookies or personal identifiers.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Managing your account and the listings you administer (performance of the service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Reviewing and publishing suggestions and corrections (legitimate interest in keeping the directory accurate, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Keeping the service secure and preventing abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Showing personalised ads, only if you accept it in Google’s privacy message (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Suggestions are kept as long as needed to review them and then anonymised or kept while the content remains published. Technical logs are deleted periodically.

Recipients

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for other purposes.

  • Server and database hosting provider.
  • Evoteg platform: sign-in (SSO) and image storage.
  • Google (AdSense), which shows the ads and the consent message; it only uses advertising cookies if you accept them. This may involve international transfers covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
  • OpenStreetMap tile servers, which receive your IP address when the map loads.
  • Shops we link to as affiliates (Amazon, Zooplus, Tiendanimal), only if you click one of those links: the shop and its affiliate network may use their own cookies to credit us with the purchase. We do not send them your data.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@evoteg.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Children

evoZoa is not intended for children under 14, who should not provide personal data.
