How dog beaches work
In Mallorca each town council decides which beaches allow dogs. Usually, during bathing season dogs are not allowed on most beaches and specific stretches or coves are set aside for them, signposted at the entrance.
Outside the season rules tend to be more relaxed, but they vary between towns. Always check the beach signs and local bylaws before you go.

Tips for a beach day with your dog
A little planning makes the day enjoyable for everyone:
- Bring fresh water and a bowl: sea water does not hydrate.
- Find shade or bring an umbrella and avoid the hottest hours.
- Always pick up after your dog and carry spare bags.
- Rinse your dog with fresh water afterwards to remove salt and sand.
